Heritage Open Days – Bursledon Brickworks Museum

Bursledon Brickworks Museum had a wonderful selection of displays and vehicles plus bus trips around the local area. Great to see the museum doing so well and many thanks to the Friends of Bursledon Brickworks for all that they do. When I set the group up a quarter of a century ago I never dreamed it would flourish so.

Presentation to Y-Services of the Queen’s Award

A real honour to attend the presentation to Y-Services of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for all of the work the trustees, youth workers and children do in Fareham and across South Hampshire. Delighted to be able to welcome Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, Nigel Atkinson to Fareham along with his deputy, Geoff Holt who is himself a Fareham resident.

Andy and Maria Kennedy run the charity to an exceptional standard and it is so good to see this recognition at the highest level. Joined by Mayor Pamela Bryant and Y-Services Patron Connie Hockley.

The Fareham youth clubs include Genesis, X-perience, Oasis, Odyssey, Crofton and Portchester.
