Pleased to be able to lay a wreath at the Park Gate Royal British Legion’s Sea Sunday service in Warsash today on behalf of Fareham Borough Council in recognition and memory of all those who spend their lives at sea be they Royal Navy or merchant seamen.

I was pleased to be joined by the Mayor, Cllr Pamela Bryant who laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Fareham and by Warsash Councillors Trevor Cartwright and Mike Ford.

Thank you to the many who attended, to Mike and Nicky-Sue Terry who presided at the service, the Warsash Band who provided the music and the Warsash Sea Cadets who were on parade.

Since 2014 the new boatyard and dry-stack have been completed and the pontoon replacement has been half completed with the final work scheduled for April 2020.

There were over 7,000 people in attendance on what was a glorious summer’s day. A very well done to the organisers and dozens of volunteers who gave so generously of their time. I look forward to learning of the good causes who will benefit.
