LOCKSWOOD LIBRARY REOPENING

It gave me great pleasure as Hampshire County Council’s Executive Member for Recreation & Heritage to formally reopen Lockswood Library following its refurbishment.

The library serves up to 500 customers per day making it one of Hampshire’s busiest libraries. Volunteers help for 12 hours per week .

I was pleased to be assisted in the opening by children from Woodlands Early Learning in Sarisbury. The picture shows and Beth and Leo helping me cut the ribbon.

Our CAB partners are in the library on Tuesdays and I was pleased to be joined by Val Bond and Jacquie Smart toda

REMINISCENCE IN THE PARK

I much enjoyed attending Bursledon, Hamble and Hound Dementia Awareness Group’s event today at Royal Victoria Country Park. Thank you to everyone for making me so welcome. It was fascinating to meet all the groups involved in supporting those with dementia. Also so sobering to have a dementia experience on the Dementia Tour Bus.

ROYAL NAVY GLIDING COURSE AT SOLENT AIRPORT@DAEDALUS

It was great to join Portsmouth Naval Gliding Centre Chief Instructor Dickie Croker on behalf of the Royal Naval Gliding and Soaring Association at Solent Airport@Daedalus today. Pleased to present the certificates and to enjoy a flight. It is good to see so many visitors to enjoy the facilities we have on offer. As always fantastic to be joined by a Boultbee Spitfire.
