It was a real pleasure as Hampshire County Council’s Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage to join local Councillors Zilliah Brooks, Kirsty North and Andrew Gibson to reopen Andover Library following a £300,000 refurbishment. The library is Hampshire’s 8th busiest with over 180,000 visitors annually. The register office will be moving in and the children’s library is enlarged.
Inspired to meet the Alex Wardle Foundation in conjunction with CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) a screening day. Many young people booked in to be screened during the day which is a fantastic achievement. The charity is seeking support for the valuable work that they do in our community which includes helping fund defibrillators at public buildings including Sarisbury Community Centre.
