INCIDENTS AROUND WHITELEY

I have had a number of exchanges with our District Police Commander pointing out the seriousness of the issues involved here. I am pleased that the police are now giving this essential focus as people need to be able to go about their business without fear of such violence and intimidation.

Following a number of reported incidents around the Co Op, Yew Tree Drive, Whitely officers were in the area yesterday evening carrying out enquiries and providing a visible presence. Several people ran from the area on seeing police and so we undoubtedly deterred the anti-social/criminal behaviour they were no doubt going to engage in. Whilst they may have evaded police this time, we will continue our patrols and will catch up with them. #backonthebeat #A/Insp Clift

ACTS OF KINDNESS FOODBANK MOVE

A pleasure to help Acts Of Kindness Community (Solent) with their foodbank move from Solent Airport, Daedalus where Fareham Borough Council has provided a spare hangar for 8 months to their new home at Bridgemary today.
Some 15 tons of food were moved by Kerry Snuggs and her team along with help from the Royal Navy
and Solent Stars who provided their fantastic lorry again. The provision of food and other essentials to the vulnerable at this difficult time is critical and I salute all who work so hard to provide this service in our community.
