Local Issues

21 Nov

The Fareham Citizens’ Advice Bureau kiosk is now open in Whiteley Community Centre.

The actual kiosk has been constructed by students from Fareham College and it houses a computer which anyone can access linking much useful information from CAB, Fareham Borough CouncilHampshire County Council and Winchester City Council

I was joined by Councillor Roger Huxstep who like me gave a £500 grant from his County Councillor budget to make this Whiteley facility happen. Also by Fareham CAB manager Biddy Mayo, Community Centre Manager Mark Gray and the students who built the kiosk, Corban Paskins and Jamie Barnes.

I am sure the terminal will be well used by Whiteley residents seeking support and information.

PARK GATE CAROL SERVICE RETURNS

I am delighted to be able to announce at short notice that at 7pm on Thursday 28th November the Park Gate Traders’ Carol Service is making a return. With live music, food and drink this is a really fun family event and I hope as many people as possible will attend and enjoy themselves in Middle Road, Park Gate. Any donations will go to a local charity.

I am pleased that this wonderful event is making a comeback and that I could help by arranging the road closure order at short notice.
