Fareham Library hosted a finishers party for some of the 500 children who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge. Overall 14,000 children in Hampshire read the required number of books during the summer holidays. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who have run the Space Chase scheme for us this year. So pleased to join Hampshire County Council colleagues to see the £1.2m refurbishment to Queen Elizabeth County Park visitor centre which opens to the public on Monday. This is an amazing country park with activities and walks for people of every age and ability. Assault course, Butser Hill and even pizza ovens to hire.

An honour as Squadron President to join 1350 Squadron (Fareham) Air Training Corps for their Annual Formal Inspection. The cadets as always a credit to the Corps. Thank you to Chairman Richard Hemingway for looking after me and congratulations to Officer Commanding Flt Lt Whitmarsh for a successful inspection by Sqn Ldr Richard Andrews.
