Delighted to join my colleague Andrew Gibson at Calshot to wish him well on his epic ride to Barcelona to support Cancer Research UK. An amazing challenge and one in which I know he will succeed. Also good to meet Sharon Cruse to whom the event will mean so much.

Fascinating visit to the £750m IFA2 project at Solent Airport with project lead David Luetchford. Due to open next summer Fareham’s largest ever infrastructure project will exchange electricity with Europe via Caen ensuring the lights stay on in the UK. Those transformers are enormous!

Thrilled to see the new Boultbee Spitfire at Solent Airport this morning bringing pleasure as always. I have no doubt Mark Rutley will have better pictures than me but it was great to see and hear.
